“Edmonton authors churning out the books this year”
I was really excited when Michael Hingston, books editor at the Edmonton Journal, asked to include me on his 2013 Literary Calendar of Edmonton authors. Turns out he’s got a book coming out later this year too – The Dilettantes (Freehand Books) – a comic novel about life at a student newspaper.

I know it sounds cliche, but there really is something for everyone on this list: novels, short fiction, poetry, literary nonfiction and so on. There’s even an anthology, 40 Below, that collects up all these genres in one (and will be publishing two of my poems!).
I want to give a particular shout-out to my friend and colleague, S.G. Wong, who will be launching her first book in the Lola Starke series this spring with Carina Press.
