I’ve started writing more articles for What’s Up Yukon and am enjoying my assignments so much. The first batch includes an interview with Vuntut Gwichin storyteller Tammy Josie who is the granddaughter of Edith Josie, Order of Canada recipient and long-time “Here are the News” writer.
I also got to write about Maible Matrishon, who could be the Yukon’s youngest published author. The 9-year-old recently released her book, Island Experiences, in ebook and print formats.
Coming up soon are stories on the Adaka Cultural Festival, as well as my first Yukon Love column, featuring love stories past and present from the territory.
