This year the Atlantic Book Awards has created a brand new honour, the Readers’ Choice Award. And Freddie the Flyer made it through the first round to be part of the shortlist. All the members of #TeamFreddie (Fred, Miki, Audrea, me and the publishing team) are so excited. We’ve had a blast sharing our book with kids and their grownups around Canada (and the world) and love seeing how much it’s connected with readers. This would be such a dazzling little cherry on top for Fred and Audrea’s first picture book!
